Welcome to the very first episode of the Bass With Benjamin Bass Vlog! In this episode we'll explore the Ibanez Grooveline basses. The Ibanez Grooveline basses were very short lived instruments and were produced between 2011-2016. These high end basses never quite took off but are considered to be one of the best line of basses that Ibanez ever produced. I'm very fortunate enough to own 2 of th...

    My question is how how the hell did YOU get Ibanez to custom build you a bass? They don't do custom orders and haven't for years. And you aren't so famous that you are a household name.

      @@josephwalton487 yes good question. I’ve been endorsed with Ibanez for the last 13 years and have always had a good working relationship with them. I’ve done official promo and demo videos for them over the years that you can check out on RUclips. So a few years ago I asked them if they could do a custom build for me and they said yes! 😎

    Benjamin, yes it sounds nice, great and your playing is phenomenal as usual but of what use is this 32 minutes explanation if we cannot get it to buy at the end of the day. Is this just for us to know what the bass you play is made of, after which we should go our different ways....🤷🏽

    Why not use a looper when it’s time for your solo?

    • @BassWithBenjamin
      @BassWithBenjamin 3 месяца назад

      It turns into a disaster when you try to use a loop pedal in a band context. The moment you hit record, the timing is naturally going to be different from when you stop recording to start the loop play back. In other words the train is gonna fall off the tracks because the timing is inconsistent with the rest of the band. It can be done but you will need a sophisticated setup that involves a sequencer and the rest of the band to use in ears to hear a click track. Not worth all that setup and hassle when the other musicians can just learn how to accompany a bass soloist properly.

    I love the sound of these basses. The sound of your custom bass is insane!!! Btw!! The only reason I didn't buy one is because I'm left handed and I play a right hand bass upside down. So the cut off didn't leave me any room on the neck. I still want one!!!!! Now I want one even more now!! Thanks for doing this video .
